Somerset Hospital is a 150 licensed-bed hospital which cares for about 5,200 inpatients, more than 157,000 outpatients and nearly 18,000 emergency cases annually. Services include Medical Oncology, a sleep lab, dialysis center, cardiac catheterization laboratory, a pain management program, occupational health and community education. Round the clock emergency care is provided by the hospital. Ancillary services include radiology, laboratory, rehabilitation, and cardiopulmonary departments. Medical degrees plus 36 months of training in Internal Medicine and IM Board Certification required. Required to participate in publications and research with residents. Experience in an ACGME residency program and knowledge of JCAHO and RRC regulations a plus.

Call 1:4 - weekend on call for the entire Department of Behavioral Medicine. The psychiatrist makes rounds on the inpatient units with the assistance of a 2nd/3rd year resident or physicians assistant. The on-call schedule begins at 4 pm Friday through Monday at 8 am. The psychiatrist is also required to perform inpatient acute care consultations as well as respond to patient-related calls by RN's on the inpatient units. Weekday on call is one evening a week from 5 pm to 8 am. While the psychiatrist carries a pager and responds to calls, he/she is not required to come into the hospital to see patients in the DEM or inpatient units.

Other expectations - Highly identifiable leadership skills , Adaptable to treating older patients when covering for other staff psychiatrists, Quality improvement and peer review projects with outcomes, Ability to quickly develop trust and rapport with patients and parents, and Develop working relationships with Pediatricians that includes easy access to the psychiatrist for discussion regarding medications and other aspects of treatment. Willingness to promote the unit via marketing activities that would include lectures offered to other Community Providers/Physician Dinner-Lecture Meetings/Grand Rounds for Physicians, Residents and other clinical hospital staff and working with the media.

This practice consists of three board certified urologists and a Physician Assistant. The Urology practice is the only one located within Memorial Hospitals service area and is conveniently located adjacent to the hospital with state-of-the-art surgical suites that include voice-activated laparoscopic technology. The practice offers Greenlight PVP Laser procedures to treat BPH, in-house lithotripsy and two on-site ambulatory surgery units.
