Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mt., MI has an opportunity available for a non-invasive Cardiologist. This is a hospital-employed position. Salary is competitive with bonus potential. Dickinson Memorial Hospital moved into its new 96-bed facility in 1996. The Hospital completed its 4th expansion in June 2005 to add fixed site MRI, expand Radiology space and services, and consolidate Rehab services. Renovation was completed in May 2006 of our 3 bed accredited Sleep Center. Our Cardiac Diagnostics center has well trained staff and state of the art equipment. Plans for a second medical office building on the hospital campus, are in the preliminary stages. Our Board and Administration are very supportive of our Medical Staff, new services and equipment needs to keep us on the cutting edge.
The area is very family-oriented and safe, with a low crime rate. Education is a high priority with many excellent school systems to choose from. Secondary education is also accessible. Bay College, in Escanaba, has begun construction of its Iron Mountain extension campus. We work closely with the college for clinical rotations for many of its health care related programs.
There are 4 seasons of recreational activities including golf, water sports, skiing, hunting, fishing hiking to name a few. While we do have a definite winter season, the area does not get as much snow as the majority of the Upper Peninsula.

Emergency: Iron mountain, Michigan
Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mt., MI has an opportunity available in May 2008 for a BE/BC Emergency Medicine physician. This is a hospital-employed position. Salary is competitive with bonus potential. The Emergency Department and the After Hours Care Clinic have combined visits of approximately 25,000 a year. There is currently a group of 5 BC Emergency Medicine Physicians who provide 24/7 coverage in the Emergency Department. Additional midlevel coverage is 11am and 11 pm with a second midlevel provider staffing the After Hours Clinic 5:30 pm 8:30 pm Monday Friday and 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. There is 24/7 Radiology coverage to the ED.

This is an employed position with 2 years to partnership potential. Salary is competitive with bonus potential.
